Maltanka park railway
Along the northern shore of Lake Malta runs a approximately 3.5-kilometer route of the Maltanka park railway, which provides access to the New Zoo. The carriages are pulled by diesel locomotives.
The picturesque route starts at the Maltanka station, located near Rondo Śródka, and passes through stops: „Ptyś” (near the entrance to the Malta Thermal Baths), „Balbinka”, all the way to the „Zwierzyniec” station, situated close to the main entrance of the Zoo.
While traveling by the small train, you can admire the charming lake, and from the carriage windows, you can also see the year-round ski slope, the summer toboggan run, the Malta Thermal Baths, Hotel Park, cycling paths, children’s playgrounds, and scenic promenades.
